Sapphire Sapphire is the birthstone for September.

Most people think of sapphire being blue, but in fact it comes in a whole rainbow of different colours, the most popular after blue is pink, but you can also get green, orange, yellow and purple.  You can even get colour changing sapphires that look a different colour under different sources of light.
