Our Conflict Diamond Policy

Jeremy was one of the first diamond dealers in the country to write to all of his diamond suppliers and diamond jewellery suppliers to confirm that they where complying with the Kimberly process.  This process insures that all diamonds sold by these companies have been tracked from the mine through cutting and to us.  This reduces the possibility of any diamond being sold through the Winchester shop having contributed to any conflict.

HistoryAcheivements

Jeremy finished Jewellery College in 1980 and worked for a fine goldsmiths in Berkshire. After three years in 1983 he started a repair and manufacturing business in Kent, two years after that he opened his first retail shop. Five years later he opened his Winchester shop.

He has been in Winchester for seventeen years as a working goldsmith. The shop started with just Jeremy, his wife Sarah and one sales staff. Now you can find eight goldsmiths all working in full view of the public and eleven sales staff to help run the shop to the very high standards that are now expected of him.

Jeremy has a large shop window front on the High Street (opposite the law courts and the statue of the man on the horse) and down into the Walcote Place development.  Please see the contact us page for a map and our opening hours.  Always fresh, the windows display an excellent range of 18ct gold and Diamond jewellery to suit all styles and prices, along side a vast range of Silver Jewellery and gem stones.

Design

Jeremy France with a clientJeremy has four designers working full time in the shop, and are always available to help design the perfect piece for you. He is a qualified diamond grader and purchases diamonds on a daily basis, so if you were thinking of looking around (even as far as South Africa) why not try Jeremy, you may be pleasantly surprised!!  We now have four diamond graders.

If you purchase the stones from Jeremy and have the ring made by him, then you are guaranteed to love the final product, because if you don't, he promises to re-make it or change it for a different style if necessary with no charges to you (based on the same amount of materials used) Jeremy specializes in Platinum work, but can also work in 18ct yellow and white gold if that is required. Why not e-mail him for an estimate on the diamond you want? jeremy@jeremyfrancejewellers.co.uk

The other very popular part of the business is re-designing and re-making of old jewellery into a more contemporary piece to suite your tastes. Jeremy will spend time with you helping to make those important decisions when re-making the family jewellery, utilizing all the inherited value of the stones.
